what routine?
My friend over at First Timers asked the question, “what is your routine?”
Here it is:
<Insert extensive post that details my day and makes me sound incredibly depressing and depressed.>
So that was a really healthy exercise in identifying why I feel absolutely awful lately. Rather than write about my day, (which is honestly really boring and a tiny bit pathetic) I will detail my ideal routine.
6 a.m. wake up and run/ exercise
6:45 a.m. shower & get dressed
7:15 cook and eat breakfast
7:45 depart for the office (stopping at Dutch Brothers)
8:00 a.m. begin working efficiently
Noon lunch
1 p.m. return to working efficiently
5 p.m. depart for home
5:15 p.m. begin cooking dinner
5:45 p.m. eat dinner
6:15 p.m. Clean
6:45 p.m. watch TV
8:45 p.m. read
9:45 p.m. get ready for bed
10 p.m. sleep
This routine has all of the things I know I need to be a healthy human, but I am currently not getting. Regular meals. Exercise. Regular sleep. Intellectual stimulation.
And it has some things that I totally don’t need but that I enjoy. Coffee. TV.
Really, it’s the perfect routine.
So why is it so hard to achieve?

*laugh* Why is it so hard to acheive? I'm only on day 2 and I've already strayed from my new routine! Strangely, this doesn't seem to bother me though. I feel better just knowing that I have a routine and that I've conciously decided to stray from it. :)
